The Fall Edit: Bella’s Picks

Hello everyone, and welcome back to our November newsletter!

This month, we’re thrilled to spotlight some truly exciting additions — products that are not only new to Bella’s Flooring but brand new to the flooring industry itself. From authentic Japanese hardwoods to sustainable next-generation materials, these innovations are redefining how beauty, performance, and sustainability come together under one floor.

Stay tuned as we showcase what’s fresh, what’s trending, and what’s inspiring us this fall season at Bella’s Flooring. 🍂✨

Hokkaido Collection by Monarch Plank

The first product we’re featuring is a stunning new hardwood collection from Monarch Plank called Hokkaido — named after Japan’s northernmost main island, best known for its dense forests, hot springs, volcanoes, and snow-covered mountains.

Not only is this collection new to Bella’s Flooring, it’s also new to North America, making these floors truly exclusive and unique.

Inspired by Japan’s natural landscapes, the Hokkaido Collection offers wide planks with a clean, organic, and modern look — each designed to highlight the authenticity and beauty of natural wood.

🌳 Available in Three Species:

  • Nara (Japanese Oak): While it shares some similarities with European Oak, Nara stands apart. Found only in Japan, it features a tighter grain pattern thanks to slower-growing conditions, and it has fewer pink and yellow undertones often found in European Oak.

  • Tamo (Japanese Ash): Known for its elegant, condensed grain structure, Tamo has less yellow coloring than its European or American counterparts — and it maintains its tone beautifully over time, with minimal yellowing as it ages.

  • Kuri (Japanese Chestnut): Rare and remarkable, Kuri closely resembles North American Chestnut, which is now nearly extinct due to a blight. Thankfully, Kuri grows abundantly in Japan. Like all Chestnut species, it naturally deepens in color when exposed to light — shifting from pale yellow-brown to a rich caramel tone. To accelerate this transformation, Monarch Plank smokes the wood before finishing, giving Kuri its signature warm, matured hue right from the start.

Each species in the Hokkaido Collection reflects Japan’s dedication to craftsmanship, nature, and harmony — creating floors that are both timeless and one-of-a-kind.

HOKKAIDO COLLECTION

Hokkaido Collection - “In Shinto, all things in nature are imbued with a sacred energy, from a tree, to a stone, to the wood that builds a house. The natural world is venerated and respected. At Monarch Plank, we hold a similar reverence for the materials we use. that passion and respect finds its highest expression in the Hokkaido collection. We hope you’ll enhoy this sacred treasure as much as we do.”

Ceramin by Inhaus: “The Best of Both Worlds” 🌿

The second product we’re spotlighting this month is something truly innovative — a flooring line that blends the durability of laminate with the comfort and style of luxury vinyl. Introducing Ceramin by Inhaus!

This line offers the best of both worlds — it’s 100% waterproof, scratch-resistant, and comes in two gorgeous collections: Icon and Gallery. Each collection features 13 colors, making a total of 26 unique flooring options to choose from.

♻️ Why We Love Ceramin:

  • Lifetime Anti-fade + Completely waterproof — perfect for kitchens, bathrooms, sunrooms and basements.

  • Highly durable, with a top abrasion rating that ensures long-lasting beauty.

  • 100% recyclable, meaning any waste after installation can go right into your household recycling bin. Made with at least 25% post-consumer recycled content, helping reduce environmental impact. 100% of electricity used in production comes from hydropower, further reducing the carbon footprint.

  • PVC-free and toxin-free — no formaldehyde, phthalates, or plasticizers.

Pro Tip: Since these floors are so unique, acetone can be used to remove permanent marker stains without damaging the surface. This adds another layer of innovation — truly blending the best qualities of LVP and laminate to create these novel PVC-free planks. With its modern design, durability, and eco-friendly production, Ceramin represents the future of sustainable flooring — a perfect choice for homes that value both style and sustainability.
